religion?

how many people don’t know what religion is? how many people atheist? i know, its non of my business. okay, let say i’m not so religious man, but deep down in my heart, i believe that those religion guide us to the peaceful and happy life, here on earth or in heaven.

Lets get serious now, Religion has been defined in a wide variety of ways. Most definitions attempt to find a balance somewhere between overly sharp definition and meaningless generalities. Some sources have tried to use formalistic, doctrinal definitions while others have emphasized experiential, emotive, intuitive, valuational and ethical factors.

I found in wikipedia.org that a religion is a set of beliefs and practices generally held by a human community, involving adherence to codified beliefs and rituals and study of ancestral or cultural traditions and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term “religion” refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction.

Religion is often described as a communal system for the coherence of belief focusing on a system of thought, unseen being, person, or object, that is considered to be supernatural, sacred, divine, or of the highest truth. Moral codes, practices, values, institutions, traditions, and rituals are often traditionally associated with the core belief, and these may have some overlap with concepts in secular philosophy. Religion is also often described as a “way of life”.

The development of religion has taken many forms in various cultures. “Organized religion” generally refers to an organization of people supporting the exercise of some religion with a prescribed set of beliefs, often taking the form of a legal entity. Other religions believe in personal revelation and responsibility. “Religion” is sometimes used interchangeably with “faith” or “belief system,”[1] but is more socially defined than that of personal convictions.

Now, how many religion exist in this world? there is no exact number for this answer, but according to the adherent.com there are over 4,200 religions based on their statistics. there is so many difficulties to trace down this kind of information. however, we could easily know some of them with large number of adherent.

IP stands for Internet protocol, not for Indeks Prestasi, although its the most considered thing when you guys/girls go to college (indonesia only). no its not that.

IP Address (Internet Protocol Address): This number is an exclusive number all information technology devices (printers, routers, modems, et al) use which identifies and allows them the ability to communicate with each other on a computer network. There is a standard of communication which is called an Internet Protocol standard (IP).

Domain Names (Domain Name System-DNS): This allows the IP address to be translated to words. It is much easier for us to remember a word than a series of numbers. The same is true for email addresses.

For example, it is much easier for you to remember a web address name such as yanworks.web.id than it is to remember 67.15.74.95 or in the case of email it is much easier to remember me@yanworks.web.id than me@67.15.74.95

Dynamic IP Address: An IP address that is not static and could change at any time. This IP address is issued to you from a pool of IP addresses allocated by your ISP or DHCP Server. This is for a large number of customers that do not require the same IP Address all the time for a variety of reasons. Your computer will automatically get this number as it logs on to the network and saves you the trouble of having to know details regarding the specific network configurations. This number can be assigned to anyone using a dial-up connection, Wireless and High Speed Internet connections. If you need to run your own email server or web server, it would be best to have a static IP.

Static IP Address: An IP address that is fixed and never changes. This is in contrast to a dynamic IP address which may change at any time. Most ISP’s a single static IP or a block of static IP’s for a few extra bucks a month.

indonesian security – president’s homepage was defaced!

ini infomasi terbaru tentang security di indonesia, gak jauh2 dari dunia maya yang penuh misteri (halah). tanggal 17 maret 2007 kemaren, lagi2 website penting tokoh negara dihack oleh orang yang tidak bertanggungjawab (soalnya ngasih tahu namanya – walau bukan nama aslinya), ya lebih bertanggungjawab lagi kalo sekalian ngirim scan ktp, tapi gak mungkin sih ini.

coba tebak? siapa pihak yang merasa dirugikan oleh ulah kaum underground ini, gak tanggung2, langsung tembak kepala (headshot) – siapa lagi? ya kepala negara kita bapak presiden susilo bambang yudhoyono. wah saya turut prihatin.

situs pribadinya (resmi pula) yaitu presidensby.info di deface (dirubah tampilannya) oleh orang yng mengaku namanya Qwerty. halaman depannya diganti dengan surat yang judulnya “Tritura v.2 – Tiga Tuntutan Rakyat” dan isinya memang tuntutan rakyat, karena dikirimkan lewat dunia cyber, tuntutannya juga ada hubungannya dengan dunia cyber sedikit, dituntutan pertama dan keduanya berkisar tentang dunia teknologi informasi yaitu tentang bandwidth dan OpenSource, yang ketiga tentang sosial masyarakat. untuk lebih jelasnya berikut saya copy kan suratnya.

it has three main system (as far as i know) for this,

why Orange

why orange? and what is the relationship between orange and High level security?

actually, this is United State’s Homeland Security Advisory System to alert their citizen about the terrorist threat level. and Orange is color-coded threat level system which means “High Risk of Terrorist Attack”, so have you got a clue, why orange means High Level Security.

the highest level for this system is Red which means Severe Risk of Terrorist Attack and it supposed to be happen when Al Qaeda suicide hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the northern facade of the North Tower on September 11, 2001.

anyway, this category would not only tell you about National Security and terrorism, it also about other security, including network security, or any other thing that have “security” word after or before it.

sekarang kerjaannya ngapain? kalo aku nih sekarang kerjaannya kerja (walau masih tetep banyak main ma temen2), hehehe, sebenernya sih dah mulai kerja dari sebulan yang lalu sih, nih sekarang lagi dikantor yang baru, dapet jatah lembur nih. lumayan lah, dikantor baru ini semuanya serba baru dari mulai gedung, sampai barang2nya (walau gak semuanya baru) tapi nih kantor baru jauh amat dari rumah, kalo kantor yang lama sih cuma sini-situ aja, eh sekarang malah jadi 4 kali lipat jauhnya, wuih, tapi gak apalah, namanya juga kerja, harus mau susah. hehehe. semoga berhasil untuk semua.

Untuk 21 Tahun

gak kerasa aku udah 21 tahun, benar2 gak nyangka kalo waktu bisa begini cepat, sekarang dah tambah dewasa, harusnya! kayaknya masih inget waktu ulang tahunku yang ke 20, yang notabene satu-satunya ulangtahunku yang ada kuenya, (maklum gak pernah dirayain apalagi pake kue) saking bersejarahnya, tuh lilin yang jumlahnya dua puluh masih kusimpen dilemariku, (thanks to my lovely putri for the greatest memory of my 20th birthday).

udah banyak yang aku jalani, sekarang saatnya berusaha untuk mandiri. banyak yang udah tempuh, lebih banyak lagi yang harus dijalani.

21 tahun bukan waktu yang sebentar, sudah semestinya aku mau ngucapin terima kasih untuk keluargaku (terutama orangtua) yang udah memberikan semuanya selama ini, untuk orang2 tersayang yang pernah ada, untuk teman2 yang selalu bikin aku bisa bertahan menghadapi semua, semua orang didunia yang pernah kukenal dan mungkin terlupakan, dan orang2 yang belum kukenal (im looking forward being your friend). terima kasih untuk 21 tahun perjalanan yang sangat berarti.
